PlayPhrase.me ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have when you use the PlayPhrase.me website, official applications for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Android, and related services (together, the "Service").
For users in the European Economic Area ("EEA") and the United Kingdom, this Privacy Policy is intended to address the information requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the UK GDPR, including legal bases for processing, international transfers, retention, deletion, and data subject rights.
By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.
If you use Favorites import, the contents of the Markdown file you select are sent to our server to process the import. Saved favorites and collections are associated with your account.
We process account and purchase identifiers, subscription status and verified access periods to associate a purchase with its account and make Premium available across supported devices. Sign-in providers and subscription providers serve different purposes; using a sign-in method does not itself create a paid subscription.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not combine data from our applications with data from other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and we do not share application user data with data brokers.
Analytics and technical integrations differ between the website and applications. The website uses analytics tools to understand usage. Official applications send service requests and usage events for their available features, including search and playback statistics. Applications that offer Google sign-in also use Google's sign-in SDK; this is a separate integration from website analytics.
We do not send email addresses to Google Analytics.
Analytics and technical tools may still process cookie identifiers, device or app identifiers, IP-related technical information, and usage events. We also use cookies, local storage, and session storage for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may not function properly if certain cookies or storage mechanisms are disabled.

If you have an account, you may request deletion of your account data through the Service where that functionality is available, or by contacting us. When account deletion is completed, we delete account-linked data we store for the Service, including saved favorites and personal statistics associated with the account, except to the extent we must retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.
We retain limited purchase-ownership records to prevent an App Store purchase from being reassigned to another account after account deletion. These records are subject to the retention purposes described above.
Deleting your PlayPhrase.me account or uninstalling an app does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple, Google Play or Patreon. Manage or cancel it with the provider through which you subscribed.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and update the Effective Date above.
